Things To Do In Cape Town

We are centrally situated just minutes away from Cape Town's major tourist attractions, Table Mountain, Stellenbosch and the Wine Routes, close to golf courses, Virgin Active Health Club close to hospitals, big corporate head offices, and also close to the N1 national road.

If you want some sand, sea and sun it's waiting for you "just over the Tygerberg Hill" thirty minutes drive away. Then on the Atlantic coast you'll find you're spoilt for choice with sundowners on the lawn in front of Blue Peter Hotel on Blouberg beach, or alternatively after a 40 minute drive you can land on the superb white stretch of Strand Beach on the other side of the Cape Peninsula ideal for swimming.

If gambling is your thing, Grand West Casino is only 20 minutes away, with ice skating on an Olympic size rink. Tygervalley, Sanlam Centre, N1 City, Canal Walk - paradise for shopaholics! All these centers have cinemas. The Bellville Velodrome periodically hosts concerts and exhibitions.

At the tip of the Cape Peninsula 60 km south-west of Cape Town, lies Cape Point, a nature reserve within the Table Mountain National Park; a declared Natural World Heritage Site.

Encompassing 7 750 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna; abounding with buck, baboons and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as over 250 species of birds, Cape Point is a nature enthusiast paradise.

Cape Town Stadium

An architectual achievement for Cape Town indeed.  This stadium is often host to iconic superstar bands and performers like U2, Coldplay, Metallica, Paul Simon and  Robbie Williams to name but a few.

The stadium doubles as the perfect venue for sporting events since it was purpose built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

A beautiful example of some of the splendid architecture which is evident in so many of the buildings in Cape Town is perhaps the Cape Town City Hall and The Castle, which stands gaurd over the Grand Parade in Cape Town. The Grand Parade is used traditionally as a market place where tourists will find it extremely hard to resist purchasing from the locals.

The South African Museum, established in 1825 by Lord Charles Somerset, is the oldest and largest museum on the sub-continent. A landmark in the historic Company's Garden, the Museum is housed in an elegant late-Victorian building which was opened in the 1880's and has been enlarged with modern extensions.

IZIKO Museums forms an integral part of South Africa's heritage and is indeed worth a very informative visit.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Located at the foot of Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is world famous for its prolific cultivation of indigenous flora.
